Technology contracts, IT outsourcing and cloud computing

The Technology & Communications practice has a strong focus on technology contracts, IT outsourcing and cloud computing. We have extensive experience advising multinational companies on the drafting and negotiation of, and litigation involving, complex international software and hardware-related agreements, including in relation to licensing, development, manufacturing, marketing, distribution, services and maintenance, acquiring or divesting technology and related intellectual property rights.

We represent clients on both sides of the table (buyers / sellers, licensors / licensees, developers / investors).

Semiconductors

The Technology & Communications team is experienced in working with companies in the semiconductor industry, including semiconductor wafer foundries, fabless design houses, Integrated Device Manufacturer’s and others in the semiconductor manufacturing chain. We negotiate, draft and advise on foundry agreements, design services agreements and all semiconductor related matters.

Electronic and mobile business

The Technology & Communications practice offers a broad range of advice relating to electronic and mobile business and platforms, including the statutory requirements to ensure the validity of on-line contracts, the on-line acceptance of general terms and the drafting of such terms, e-identification, e-payment, e-invoicing, digital marketing, e-archiving and e-evidence.

eID and Cybersecurity

The Technology & Communications practice advises on computer and network security, cybercrime and content liability issues. Our experience extends to all legal issues relating to computer and network security, including use, import and export regulations with respect to cryptography, electronic evidence and all aspects of electronic identification (eID) and electronic Trust Services (eTS), including electronic signatures and Public Key Infrastructures (PKIs). We also advise leading companies on content liability issues, the drafting of IT security policies and the legality of intrusion testing services.
